Andrea Walker is a writer and freelance editor. She is a former Associate Literary Agent.
Andrea first fell in love with books as a child, searching the dusty shelves of a flea market bookstore and has been on the hunt for her next great read ever since. Andrea holds a Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Creative Writing, Finance, and Education and is pursuing her Masters in Education. She got her start in publishing in 2016, interning for a literary agent and a publisher before joining Olswanger Literary as a contracts and research intern, finally landing at Azantian Literary as an Associate Agent in 2020. She has worked closely with literary agents and editors as an editorial intern reading queries, submissions, and providing editorial and contractual feedback.

Brazilian author Ana Siqueira’s IF YOUR BABYSITTER IS A BRUJA, a bilingual story in which a young child believes their new babysitter might just be a witch, illustrated by Irena Freitas, to Alyza Liu at Simon & Schuster Children’s, in a nice deal, for publication in summer 2022, and simultaneously in Spanish as CUANDO TU NINERA ES UNA BRUJA, with text translated by the author, by Andrea Walker at Olswanger Literary for the author, and by Andrea Morrison at Writers House for the illustrator (world).
Luana Kay Horry at HarperCollins has bought world rights, at auction, in a two-book deal, to Abuela’s Super Capa by Ana Siqueira, illustrated by Pura Belpré Honor artist Elisa Chavarri. It’s an intergenerational story about love and remembrance in which Luis and Abuela put on their super capas and save the world until one day, when Abuela must hang up her capa. Publication is slated for winter 2023, and simultaneously in Spanish; Andrea Walker at Azantian Literary represented the author while at Olswanger Literary; Claire Easton at Painted Words represented the artist.
